We’re pleased to share that this 1994 Porsche 968 Turbo S will be available at Gooding Christie’s Amelia Island Auctions. Built as a homologation-focused road car tied to Porsche’s early-1990s customer racing efforts, the Turbo S sits at the end of the four-cylinder transaxle era. Production is widely cited as extremely limited—often described as 13 series cars plus a prototype, depending on how they’re counted.
Developed to align with the 968 Turbo RS race program, the Turbo S is typically described as being hand-built through Porsche’s Weissach development channels rather than conventional series production. Compared with a standard 968, period accounts point to a more competition-oriented mechanical package, including a turbocharged four-cylinder layout commonly cited at around 305 horsepower, along with functional aero cues like NACA ducts and an adjustable rear wing. This particular car is believed to be the only Turbo S finished in PTS Zermatt Silver.
The car is scheduled to cross the block as Lot 148 at Gooding's Friday Amelia Island Auction on March 6th, 2026; follow the sale as the auction approaches.
