Each summer, vintage racing devotees converge on Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, drawn by the irresistible allure of Road America. In July 2025, the Road America's Vintage Weekend again united hundreds of passionate motorsport enthusiasts, and Motive Archive proudly joined the festivities, adding our own chapter to the storied tradition.
The weekend kicked off with the exhilarating sights and sounds of historic race cars reverberating through Road America's lush surroundings. While spectators enjoyed the diverse lineup of classic machines, Motive Archive’s team eagerly engaged with fellow collectors and enthusiasts at the sprawling Bring a Trailer Alumni Gathering. Hosted at the Briggs & Stratton Motorplex, this special event celebrated vehicles previously featured on BaT, providing a fantastic backdrop to reconnect and share stories with community members we've grown close to through shared passions online.
A personal highlight was Motive Archive co-founder Al Thom taking to the track in his meticulously restored 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia TI. Al’s participation brought a competitive spirit and personal connection to our team's experience, thrilling colleagues and supporters as he skillfully navigated his home course.
Saturday evening saw Motive Archive mingling among fellow automotive connoisseurs at the fan favorite Sports Car Concours in downtown Elkhart Lake. It was an ideal moment to appreciate automotive craftsmanship, discuss personal favorites, and connect with both longtime enthusiasts and new friends.
The weekend reaffirmed why we cherish being part of this community: sharing our passion, contributing to the enduring legacy of vintage motorsport, and strengthening connections with fellow enthusiasts.
